Highlights of  Past WCP Concerts:     


On Sunday, May 14, 2023, WCP held a chamber concert on the theme of "Learning Diversity through Music". The complete recording of the concert is on the Recording Gallery page and also available at the Westford CAT YouTube channel. At the concert, professional and student performers played chamber pieces from Bulgaria, China, England, Japan, India, Taiwan, and the U.S. The student performers include WCP students and several students selected through a public audition process. 


"Welcome Spring" Chamber Concert

On Sunday, March 6, 2022, after two years of isolation, WCP came back and hosted their second all-professional chamber concert. The concert featured Dvorak's "American" Quartet and Viotti's flute quartet. We were delighted to see more than a dozen of the audience were local middle school and high school students!  The performing artists are local eminent musicians who are active in performing and teaching chamber music: Shan Liu on the Flute, Dimitar Krastev Violin, Dimitar Petkov Viola, and Harel Geitheim for the cello. 


Springs and Winds Calling for Spring 

On Sun. March 1, 2020, 7:00PM,  at the Parish Center for the Arts,  Westford Chamber Players and friends came together to celebrate early spring with their strings and winds. This one full hour all professional concert featured  beautiful chamber music by Baroque and Classical composers, such as George P. Telemann, Joseph Haydn, Wolfgang A. Mozart, and Franz X. Sussmayr.


Valentine's Day Concert at Kimball Farm
On Sat. Feb. 15, 2020, WCP hosted a valentine-themed concert at the Kimball Farm Country Store and Cafe. The concert program included chamber music pieces by various composers, performed by the WCP student and profession musicians.  


Holiday Cheer at Kimball Farm
The concert was held on Sat. Dec. 7, 2019, featuring holiday sing-along songs as well as classical chamber music , performed by the WCP student and professional musicians.  


"A Music Journey to Europe" concert at the Westford Senior Housing  
On Nov. 16, WCP student musicians and their lead chamber coach had their first outreach concert for the 2019-2020 school year, at the Westford Senior Housing, 65 Tadmuck Road, Westford, MA.  The concert program included chamber music by Elgar, Haydn, and Mendelssohn, featuring beuatiful romantic pieces by Russian comosers, Glazounov, Kopulov, Lyadov, and Sokolov. The concert was jointly hosted by the Cameron Senior Center.   

 
WCP 2nd Annual "Welcome Summer" Concert
On June 8 at St. Marks, we had our 2nd annual concert. All WCP members performed great chamber music by Albrechtsberger, Beethoven, Brahms, Bruch, Dvorak, Pleyel, and Schumann. The annual concert is to demonstrate the achievements the students have made throughout the school year, with diligent coaching and mentoring of professional musicians.  


Live Concert at the Westford House
This was our third time visiting the Westford House, a local skilled nursing home on Rt. 110. All WCP student musicians, ages 9 to 17, performed at the concert on May 19, 2019.  

 
Mother's Day Celebration 
WCP had a concert at Kimball Farm Country Store and Cafe on May 11. 2019.   400 Littleton Road, 


Westford Earth Day Music Performance 
WCP student quartet performed at the Fletcher Library on the Earth Day on April 27, 2019.  The event was hosted by SealOEarth, a local non-profit organization advocating environmental protection.    


"An Unexpected Trip to Europe" Concert 
On Nov. 27, 2018, at the Cameron Senior Center, WCP student and professional musicians performed classical chamber music by Dvorak, Glinka, Hoffmeister, Mazas, and Stamitz, featuring one of Mozart’s Viola Quintet in G minor K 516.  The concert, cohosted by the Cameron Senior Center, was supported in part by a grant from the Westford Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
